TROUBLESHOOTING
SCENARIO 1
A single battery is not communicating correctly with the inverter.
- Ensure that the dip switch configuration of a single battery is setup as a master battery as indicated in the Manual:
- Ensure that the inverter’s CAN-bus baud rate is set the same as the battery (250 kbps or 500 kbps).
- Ensure that a CAN-bus terminator (should be similar as below) is inserted on the inverter’s end as well as on the battery’s end.
- Reset the battery by pressing and holding the reset button for 6s. If this doesn’t work, shut down the battery by disconnecting the DC terminal – there should be no voltage on the DC Bus.
- Ensure that the inverter’s monitoring system is running the latest firmware.

SCENARIO 2
Parallel batteries are not communicating correctly with the inverter.
- Ensure that the dip switch configuration of all the batteries are set to as per Manual. Only one of the batteries should be set up as the master (dip switch 1 on). The rest of the batteries in parallel should be set up as slaves, for example slave 1, slave 2 and slave 3 etc. Note that the dip switch number does not necessarily correspond to the slave number. See the user manual for the parallel dipswitch configuration.
- Ensure that the inverter’s CAN-bus baud rate is set the same as the battery (250 kbps or 500 kbps).
- Ensure that a CAN-bus terminator (should be similar as below) is inserted on the inverter’s end as well as on the last battery in the parallel pack’s end.
- Ensure that the black RJ-45 cable (provided) is used between the master battery and the inverter (this is a cross-over cable on pin 7 and pin 8). Direct connection RJ-45 cables should be used between the parallel batteries.
- Reset the batteries by pressing and holding the reset button on the master battery for 6s. If this doesn’t work, shut down all the batteries in parallel: the positive DC terminal should be disconnected from all the batteries to prevent them from keeping each other awake, after all the LED’s on all batteries remain OFF, the positive terminals can be re-connected and only the master battery should be turned on to awake the system.
- Ensure that the inverter’s monitoring system is running the latest firmware.

SCENARIO 3
BMS triggers internal alarm
- This alarm will occur if the parallel communication between batteries are not functioning correctly.
- Revise the dipswitch configuration of each battery (in manual).
- Ensure direct RJ-45 cables between parallel batteries are in working condition.
- Ensure that the CAN bus terminators are placed correctly.
- Reset the master battery by pressing and holding the reset button on the master battery for 6s.
